Landing this £12.6m-rated star would surely give Everton fans flashbacks of a young Rooney

Everton fans here in the Tavern will be praying that their side can secure a European spot next season, with the summer transfer window being of huge importance.

The Toffees were flirting with the possibility of relegation towards the start of the season, but Sam Allardyce managed to steer them clear of trouble as they ended up securing a top-half finish.

Although, Everton will definitely need to dip into the transfer market for a striker this summer, with many of our local residents dreaming of another young Rooney stepping onto the field at Goodison Park.

The 32-year-old began his career at Everton, where he established himself as arguably the most promising player in English football at the time after making his debut at the age of 16. And, it’s fair to say that he didn’t disappoint in years after that, with goals being ever-present in his game as the Toffees’ star performer at such a young age.

So without further ado, landing this player would surely give Everton fans young Rooney flashbacks…

Kasper Dolberg

Kasper Dolberg, who is valued at £12.6 million (by Transfermarkt), has taken the Eredivisie by storm since his breakthrough into the Ajax side.

Just like Rooney, the 20-year-old has already had a large part to play at a young age, with nine goals and two assists to his name this season. So, after scoring 23 goals and assisting eight in the last campaign, it’s clear to see that the Danish forward knows how to produce world-class performances.

Therefore, having broken onto the international scene at similar times and with goals ever-present in their game, Everton supporters will be sure to have flashbacks of Wayne Rooney if they manage to land Dolberg.
