Lazar Markovic close to sealing Liverpool exit

One more Liverpool man could be set to end his nightmare time at Anfield this summer with a temporary switch away.

According to a report by Spor Time in Greece, Lazar Markovic is closing in on a loan deal with PAOK.

It is understood that the two sides are in advanced negotiations and a deal could be completed imminently.

The 24-year-old has struggled to make the impact that he would have desired too following his big-money move from Benfica back in 2014.

The Serbian winger, who is valued at £7.2million by Transfermarkt, has spent four temporary deals away from the club at Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht, however, he also struggled to make an impression with those sides as well.

The Verdict:

Markovic clearly does not have a future under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool and is set to face his fifth loan away from the club.

The Serbian will be looking to make the most of his time in Greece, should a deal be completed and will be keen to create an impression with the outfit to try and get himself a permanent deal away from Anfield.

Those at Liverpool will not miss the 24-year-old and will be keen to see him offloaded permanently in the near future.
