Lazar Markovic’s time at Liverpool could be about to get worse than it already is currently.
The Serbia international has become somewhat of a forgotten man at Anfield, despite having made a £20million move to the Reds back in 2014 from Benfica.
However, he has since failed to hit the heights that were once expected of him and has seen him head out on loan to clubs around Europe trying to give his career a fresh breathe of life.
It was expected that he would make a move away from Liverpool this summer in another attempt to redeem his career, however, a switch to Anderlecht failed to materialise.
Now, according to a report by TalkSPORT, things could be about to get worse for the 24-year-old, with it being claimed he has been told to train with the club’s academy players, which is in a completely separate place to where the senior side train.
Things just appear to be getting worse for Markovic the longer he remains at Liverpool.
The Serbia international is expected to leave the club next summer as his current deal is set to expire, however, it could be a long wait without any football, which could jeopardise his chances of joining a rather large club.
The 24-year-old has become a forgotten man at Anfield and it appears he will be pushed further away from Jurgen Klopp’s senior side as he has not been included in any of their squad lists for the current campaign.
