An excited karaoke amongst Liverpool punters over by Transfer Tavern’s dartboard erupted this evening, as it was declared every hipster’s favourite man Jurgen Klopp is interested in a Premier League job.
Sky Sports have sparked the rumour frenzy, stating that their sources understand Klopp is ready to end his sabbatical away from football for the ‘right job’- which could see him move to England.
Klopp rose to fame with Borussia Dortmund following his appointment in 2008, winning consecutive Bundesliga titles a few years later and clinching the club’s first ever league and cup double in 2012.
The 48-year-old gaffer broke Bayern Munich’s domination at the pinnacle of German football, though the Bavarian side did defeat Dortmund 2-1 in the 2013 Champions League final and a shock loss of form saw Klopp’s side fail to clinch a spot in Europe’s elite in 2014/15, which led to Klopp stepping down at the end of the season.
With the news filtering out at a similar time to TalkSport declaring Liverpool were preparing to sack Brendan Rodgers, many fans have put two-and-two together and have assumed that Klopp will be coming to Anfield.
However, Merseyside correspondent Graham Beecroft has said otherwise as he claims the next Liverpool boss definitely won’t be Jurgen Klopp.
