‘League title incoming’ – Liverpool fans react on Twitter to journalist’s transfer update

Liverpool fans here in the Tavern have been quick to turn their attention to their youth setup, as they take a look at who might be the next player to follow in the footsteps of Steven Gerrard. 

Jurgen Klopp has enjoyed his best season as Liverpool manager thus far, after leading them to a formidable 18-game unbeaten streak that’s seen some of his key signings shape for a positive future at Anfield.

Indeed, after producing Liverpool legends such as Michael Owen, Jamie Carragher and Steve Gerrard in years gone by, fans are hoping that Klopp will facilitate the progression of youth in the first-team after the brilliance of Joe Gomez. Still, with the history of the club built around some of their most iconic homegrown players, the club is keen to bolster their youth setup with additions from other regions, in the hope they can help contribute towards a successful future at Anfield.

And, there’s been an update in the Reds’ recruitment of a future star, as journalist Paul Joyce took to his personal Twitter account to notify Liverpool fans that Falkirk youngster Tony Gallacher is set to sign for £200,000.

Following the news, Liverpool fans were intrigued to find out more about the defender, with many sharing high hopes for the 18-year-old’s future at Anfield.
