Leeds fans on Twitter gutted to see Blackman loan spell end prematurely

On Friday, Leeds United fell to a 3-0 defeat in a U21 fixture against Birmingham. As one Chelsea loanee was returning from injury, another one fell to it. Izzy Brown played his first 45 minutes after 10 months on the sidelines, but now it looks like Jamal Blackman will be out for a spell after breaking his tibia in the clash.
I would like to thank the medical staff at both Thorp Arch and Leeds General Infirmary for the excellent way they dealt with the situation and also thank all the fans for their support and messages pic.twitter.com/4GsA0hcRuq

The on-loan Chelsea shot-stopper struggled at Elland Road in his short time at the club. Having signed on-loan from Chelsea over the summer a lot was expected of the 25-year-old who was so good for Sheffield United in the Championship last season. However, after failing to make a single appearance in the league under Marcelo Bielsa and playing just twice in the Carabao Cup, the goalkeeper will be returning to Chelsea.
It could be a very long time before the 25-year-old is back playing football and there’s no doubting that it will be tough to get back to action after suffering such a nasty injury. However, it’s unlikely that this leg break will stop him and whilst his time in Yorkshire was short-lived, the Chelsea man left a good impression at Thorp Arch for his professionalism and enthusiasm and a permanent move to Leeds could be an option if he can get back fit and playing.

The Whites are all distraught to see Blackman suffer his setback and they’ll be hoping he can get back to fitness and resume his career as soon as possible, whether it’s at Leeds or elsewhere.
