Leeds holding firm amongst interest from Palace, West Brom in key star

The Transfer Tavern punters love a good old fashioned transfer tussle and we could be about to get one surrounding Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor – according to The Guardian.

The full back is one of the hottest properties in the Championship at the moment but with Garry Monk’s outfit looking to return at last to the Premier League, they appear determined to keep hold of him for now.

Indeed, they’ve reportedly rejected a £7 million bid from each of the three sides with all of them needing extra options in Taylor’s role.

Palace have struggled at left back with Martin Kelly being shoehorned in and looking uncomfortable as he’s a right footer whilst West Brom have also had a lack of balance in playing right sided Allan Nyom there.

Boro, meanwhile, only have George Friend as their left back so they could do with another option, too.

The trio may have to look elsewhere in this window now, though, with Leeds’ stance though our landlord reckons things could change if the Whites do not earn promotion at the end of this season.

Where should Taylor go? Or should he stay past the end of this season? Let us know below!
