Leeds United will be desperate to secure promotion to the Premier League, but this could all depend on how they finish the transfer window.
Indeed, the Whites will take on Gary Rowett’s Stoke City tomorrow on the first day of the new Championship campaign, with aims of securing promotion under Marcelo Bielsa. And, it looks as if the Yorkshire club are closing in on another signing, as according to Sun Sport, Pep Guardiola will send Lucas Nmecha on loan to Leeds United.
Luckily for Leeds, Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of Marcelo Bielsa and is happy to have highly rated England youth cap Lucas Nmecha under his wing for a season.
Swansea City thought they had a deal for Nmecha for the season while Blackburn and West Brom are also interested and can offer him game time.
But, the Whites’ late entrance into the race may be decisive thanks to the relationship between the two coaches.
So, it looks as if Marcelo Bielsa is set to welcome another player to the club in the form of Lucas Nmecha, who appears to be on his way to Elland Road.
Indeed, the close ties between Guardiola and Bielsa appears to be working wonders for the Yorkshire club, as the Whites have already signed Jack Harrison on loan from the Premier League champions.
However, only time will tell whether all of these signings are able to gel together, as Leeds could face a number of problems if Bielsa struggles to get them under control.
