According to The Telegraph, West Brom are looking at signing Leeds United full-back Charlie Taylor with our resident Baggies fans excited that the club are interested in such a promising prospect.
Taylor rejected a new contract deal with the Whites in the summer and is set to leave on a free at the end of this season if something cannot be agreed.
Tony Pulis is reportedly tempted to lodge a £4 million bid in January to bring him in.
West Brom were in for him in the summer but could not get a deal through but with Allan Nyom currently playing on the left hand side of defence, despite preferring the right side, the former Stoke boss clearly feels Taylor could be his first choice left-back.
Our resident Baggies fans by the bar certainly like the look of him from what they’ve seen of him in Championship action.
One punter by the pool table said: “Leeds have had a knack of producing good young players recently and Taylor is certainly one of them. It’s nice to see Albion going for players like this because I do worry that our squad is getting a bid old but he’d bring some fresh impetus to the side. Let’s hope we do it.”
Our landlord thinks that Taylor would be a fantastic signing for the Baggies, and tips the full-back for big things!
