Leeds United set to make move for Premier League striker

Kyle LaffertySteve Evans waltzed into Leeds United last month with the attitude of a child walking into a sweet shop and to be honest the Leeds supporting punters in the Transfer Tavern have really taken to the larger than life character.

With Evans stating his desire to strengthen his squad upon his arrival it is no surprise that a couple of Whites fans over by the gents in the Tavern have come across an article suggesting a move for an international striker, with ClubCall posting interesting quotes from Evans on BBC Radio Leeds.

“He’s done terrifically well for Northern Ireland and I have placed a call in to (Norwich boss) Alex Neil to see what the situation is. Kyle needs to be playing.”

Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty is the subject of a bid from Leeds who are keen to take the striker on loan from Norwich City, with the player way down the pecking order with the Premier League club.

It is thought that Leeds would like to conclude a loan deal in time for their first game back after the international break and are in ongoing talks with the Canaries.

The landlord in the Tavern thinks it would be a great move for Leeds and watched Lafferty a lot during qualification for the European Championships next summer.

Leeds fans… Would you welcome Lafferty? Is he the striker the club currently needs?
