Leeds United set to recruit Premier League forward next week

Kyle LaffertySky Bet Championship club Leeds United are currently languishing in the bottom half of the league and their vocal fans, who can often be found in the Transfer Tavern until the small hours, are not best pleased.

They are less enthusiastic about boss Steve Evans’ inability to sign any really significant signings on Deadline Day, after waxing lyrical about what he hoped to do beforehand.

One disgruntled Whites fan is sat chatting with the landlord about the ongoing drama at Elland Road and spots an article in The Express, which claims that the club will secure the services of Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty once the emergency loan window opens next week.

Manager Evans has been a long-term admirer of the Northern Ireland forward, but was unable to secure his signature on Deadline Day, as the Canaries were holding out for a last minute sale, rather than a loan.

One long-suffering Leeds supporter is saw enjoying a nice cold pint in the Tavern and he thinks that Lafferty would offer nothing different to that of Chris Wood and believes Evans would be best served looking elsewhere for a talisman.

Leeds fans… Would you welcome Lafferty? Let us know in the comments below!
