Leeds United seem to be just going to fall short of a top six spot this season based on current form, and manager Pau Heckingbottom will be keen to get to the summer if this is the case as he looks to build and assess his squad.
The former Barnsley manager will be hoping his new Leeds squad takes to the challenge of sealing a spot in the top six either this term or next, and to do so, he knows he might well need to add some new faces if the club does indeed miss out this term.
Here in the Tavern, our Leeds fans are always a pretty rowdy bunch, and this week has been no different, with the Whites sealing a credible midweek 2-2 draw with Derby County.
Our landlord thinks the club need to be looking into the Premier League for some new recruits, and one such player he thinks could well be a hit at Elland Road is Brighton and Hove Albion striker Tomer Hemed, who has been in and out of the Seagulls’ starting eleven this term.
The Israeli striker though is proven at Championship level after firing the seaside club to the Premier League last year, and has all the tools needed to be a hit at Elland Road.
Despite the current good form of Pierre-Michel Lasogga and the return of Samuel Saiz to the fold, the signing of Hemed would be a big plus for Leeds and would add much needed goals and experience at this level to the Whites.
Leeds need to get back in the Premier League in the coming years, and signing someone like Hemed can be a key aspect of achieving that goal.
Leeds fans, what do you think to Hemed? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
