Eden Hazard is a fan favourite amongst the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, having built quite the legacy during his time in London.
He has repeatedly gone down as Chelsea’s Player of the Year, and though he hasn’t developed quite as most fans would have hoped, the 27-year-old is still crucial to Chelsea’s long-term plans.
His future, then, has always been a point of concern for our resident Blues. Given his quality, interest from outside of the Stamford Bridge walls was, and is, always inevitable.
Fortunately, a move away this summer is looking slightly less likely now, owing to a major update courtesy of the Evening Standard.
According to the Evening Standard, Real Madrid – who have a long-held interest in Hazard – have been put off by the Belgian’s inconsistent form this season, and so a move away this summer is no longer as certain as it once was.
Granted, Hazard hasn’t quite been at his best this season, but he’s still been the Blues’ best player by some distance.
