The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments from Roma legend, Francesco Totti ahead of the club’s meeting at Anfield tomorrow night. The Roma and Italy legend described Liverpool as a model to follow as his boyhood club prepares for their visit to Merseyside tomorrow. You can read Totti’s full comments on the Liverpool website.

To draw praise from Francesco Totti is always impressive. The former Italian international scored over 300 goals in his 785 appearances for Roma and has a World Cup and two Italian Cups to his name from his playing days. Now plying his trade as a business manager at the club he’s spent his life with as both a supporter and a player, Totti has been praising Liverpool ahead of the first leg of their semi-final tie tomorrow night on Merseyside.
Roma will be coming into the game on a huge high after overcoming Barcelona in the quarter-finals, despite losing 4-1 at the Nou Camp. I Giallorossi will be hoping they can continue their heroics from that night at the Stadio Olimpico when they beat Barcelona 3-0 when they face Liverpool. The club will be aiming for their first Champions League final since the competition was reformed, and their first European final since they were beaten by fellow Italians, Inter Milan in the 1990/91 UEFA Cup.

Don't be fooled by mind games. Italians are masters in mind games. They want to soften LFC players. The best response is to fully ignore Italians and their media.

The tweets on here are funny, we can’t underestimate Roma, look what happened at West Brom, they have players who can hurt us and the last thing we want is a an away goal. But a great night at Anfield ahead, come on u reds YNWA
