The Leicester City fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern discussing reports that the club could be set to smash their transfer record this summer.
The Guardian is reporting that the Premier League champions are keen to add Deportiva La Coruna striker Lucas Perez to their ranks for next summer.
Perez is a highly rated striker and second only to the big name strikers at Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the scoring charts this season.
It is set to be a summer of extensive recruitment at the King Power Stadium this summer following a season of success, which means a bigger squad will be required to maintain standards set this season with added Champions League games entering the schedule for next season.
It would take a club record bid from Leicester to tempt Deportivo to sell their leading scorer and it could also be a wrench for Perez, who is currently with his hometown club.
The Leicester fans in The Tavern are hopeful a deal can be concluded to bring Perez to the club this summer and look forward to other additions over the coming months.
