It’s been a tough season for Leicester City in the Premier League as the Foxes were brought back down to reality after their title win a couple of years ago.
The Foxes fans here in the bar haven’t been too disappointed to see their team return back to where they should probably be playing and after the departure of Claudio Ranieri, things have been a lot better in the East Midlands.
But Leicester fans know that improving the ranks this summer is key if they’re to find any sort of success once again but for some of the players currently on the roster at the King Power, it might push them even further down the pecking order.
And one man that might be set to struggle again next season is former Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray, who found game-time extremely limited this season.
The England U21 has been speaking to TalkSport about his struggles last season, admitting that he found his bit-part role tough last season but he wanted to show with his England performances that he’s got what it takes to shine at this level.
“I used this tournament last season to motivate me to show what I am capable of. As soon as I get a chance I want to have my best game,” he said.
“I am hungry and want to make my mark. I want to express myself as much as I can. I don’t feel like I have been able to do that as much as I want.
“Shakey (Craig Shakespeare, Leicester manager) has always been there for me at Leicester. He always spoke to me one on one. With him getting the job now I am happy with that and hopefully I will get more of an opportunity,” he added.
