Leicester City will be hoping to bounce back next season after last year saw them fail to defend their Premier League title while manager Claudio Ranieri also lost his job.
Now under the guidance of Craig Shakespeare, the Foxes are hoping for a successful season this time round, and they will be hoping for some success in the transfer market over the summer months.
Our Leicester fans here in the Tavern are hoping for some real quality to come through the doors at the King Power, and our landlord thinks that there are one or two players out there who could make a difference for the club next season.
One player who has been mentioned in chats by the bar this week is experienced German striker Max Kruse.
Kruse returned to Werder Bremen at the beginning of last season for a second spell with the German giants, and once again proved successful in front of goal. His experience know how up top make him an excellent centre forward, and one who could well be suited to the Premier League.
With the pace of Jamie Vardy and the intelligent play of Islam Slimani, Kruse could be the perfect sort of addition that the Foxes need.
At 29, there isn’t too much time for Kruse to come over to England and make an impact, so the time really is now, as he enters what will no doubt be the last few years of his prime as a top footballer.
