Leicester City fans in the Transfer Tavern – this one is for you guys after your disappointing Community Shield defeat yesterday!
The Foxes are reportedly “on the verge” of signing Deportivo La Coruña striker Lucas Perez, according to reports.
The striker, who scored an impressive 17 goals in 37 appearances for his side last season looks set to move to The King Power Stadium, despite Barcelona’s apparent interest earlier this summer.
But England now looks to be his preferred destination and Leicester City are expected to stump up around €15million for the 27-year-old.
Leicester now boast a whole host of attacking talent with Perez expected to compete with the likes of Jamie Vardy, Ahmed Musa, Shinji Okazaki and Leonardo Ulloa for the striking jersey.
But with a title defence and a Champions League campaign on the horizon, Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri should have as many options as possible at his disposal.
Foxes fans – is this good news? Or should the money be spent elsewhere? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
