Leicester City secured a shock result away at Anfield last night as they held the Premier League leaders to a draw, thanks to Harry Maguire’s equaliser on the stroke of half time.
The Foxes main aim from here on in will be to secure a European spot as they currently sit in 11th position, just three points off Wolverhampton Wanderers who find themselves in 7th place.
It appears as if Claude Puel is looking to strengthen before the transfer deadline, as according to journalist Phil Cadden, Leicester City are interested in Hull City’s Markus Henriksen.
Leicester City want Markus Henriksen, but they’ll have to stump up the cash as he’s valued at £5 million.
And, he only has six months left on his contract, so a January transfer window exit could be in the offing.
Although, Newcastle United also want the midfielder, while French side Bordeaux have made three bids already with the highest at £3 million.
Indeed, the Norway international has impressed in the Championship this season at current club Hull City, with a move to the Premier League being just reward for his efforts.
Markus Henrisken is currently valued at £3.6 million (by Transfermarkt), so the Foxes would be paying above the odds if they were to match the £5 million.
Despite the midfielder impressing in the Championship this season with two goals to his name, it looks as if Leicester City are set to secure Youri Tielemans on loan, so there’s no need to sign another central midfielder.
