Leicester City make audacious bid for Serie A striker

The Express is reporting that the Premier League leaders have made an £8 million bid for Sampdoria forward Eder.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is believed to be looking to bring in the front man to relieve the pressure on the club’s leading scorer Jamie Vardy as the club begins their assault on winning the Premier League title.

Eder had a great start to the campaign netting six goals in the opening five games of the Serie A season.

Leicester do face competition in the race to sign the Brazilian born striker with Chinese side Jiangsu reportedly making their intentions known with a higher £10.6 million bid.
