The Leicester fans in the Transfer Tavern have mixed opinions about the potential sale of their star Riyad Mahrez.
Reports from the BBC are suggesting that Roma are close to giving up on their bid to sign Leicester winger and 2016 PFA player of the year, Riyad Mahrez.
This is following the Serie A side having offers of nearing £30 million rejected by the Foxes in an attempt to squeeze as much money as they can out of any potential deal.
Our landlord thinks this whole situation is getting out of hand and that Craig Shakespeare needs to stop being so stubborn about letting the player go.
The only thing worse than letting arguably your best player go is having a player at the club who just doesn’t want to be there.
The Algerian’s performances will drop, his morale will drop and could take the squad’s morale with it and Leicester could miss out on cashing in on the winger if they wait to sell him.
It isn’t an ideal situation for Shakespeare to be in but at the end of the day, the player has asked to leave the club.
£30 million could be reinvested well into the Leicester side so our landlord thinks the club should just let the player leave, or else it could be toxic for the side.
