Leicester City should look to secure deal for highly-rated 25-year-old

The Leicester City fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are celebrating this evening after it was announced that Craig Shakespeare will continue as the club’s manager for next season.

After replacing Claudio Ranieri with the club languishing towards the foot of the Barclays Premier League, Shakespeare oversaw a mini revival and guided the Foxes to a safe mid-table finish.

The East Midlands-based side will be looking to kick on next season and the new permanent manager must not enter the transfer market to ensure that the team can be competitive during 2017/18.

One man who could represent a solid signing for Leicester in the close season is Brighton and Hove Albion central defender Lewis Dunk who may leave the Seagulls should a big offer come forth.

Dunk has caught the eye of several clubs during years in the first-team at Brighton and it seems likely that he will play for a bigger club at some stage in his career.

With Brighton winning promotion to the Premier League last season it could force Dunk into staying at the club for their maiden Premier League campaign, although that shouldn’t deter Leicester from throwing in a sizable bid for the defender.

One Leicester fan is enjoying an early morning pint here in the Tavern and he believes that Dunk would be a really good signing, especially considering that captain Wes Morgan isn’t getting any younger.

Leicester fans, would you welcome Dunk at the King Power Stadium? Let us know in the comments below!!!
