Leicester City fell to defeat in their first game of the season despite an impressive display at Arsenal which saw them twice lead at the Emirates.
It has been an exciting summer for the Foxes fans here in the Tavern, with big money moves for Kelechi Iheanacho and Harry Maguire just two of the big money deals they have completed.
Despite signing some big names, Leicester and manager Craig Shakespeare could also be interested in signing some top young talent to supplement some of their youngsters such as Demarai Gray and Ben Chilwell.
Our landlord thinks that they should pursue more youngsters, and one player who fits this mould is Sheffield United youngster David Brooks.
The impressive teenage midfielder was due to spend the season with Chesterfield until Chris Wilder pulled the plug following the youngsters hugely impressive summer with England in the Toulon tournament.
Brooks was named player of the tournament and contributed immensely with goals and assists. He has played a part in each of the Blades’ opening three games of the season, and looks to be the next top talent to come off the United production line.
The Blades will know they have a battle on their hands to keep hold of young Brooks though. If a club like Leicester comes calling with the big money, then they may well have to sell. Brook himself would no doubt find a move to the top flight hard to turn down as well.
Leicester fans, what do you think to this? How much do you know about Brooks? Give us your thoughts!Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
