Leicester City continue to be one of the mid-table contenders in the Premier League after their title winning campaign of two seasons ago, and it’s a testament to the management of Claude Puel that he has steadied the ship this term.
The Foxes are putting some decent results together of late and appear to be getting the best out of the likes Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy once more, a vital element to any success they want to achieve.
Here at the Tavern, some of our punters and Foxes fans in particular think the club could do with adding a few more signings to the ranks over the next 12 months, and one area they have highlighted to be sorted out is at centre half.
Despite the form of Harry Maguire, an ageing Wes Morgan means the club could be on the lookout for a new defender, and our landlord thinks a controversial move for Nottingham Forest centre half Joe Worrall could be the ideal move.
Worrall has really grown this season into one of the Championship’s most accomplished performers, and a move to the Premier League will surely beckon for the impressive young Red before too long.
While Worrall will be cautious of moving to the Foxes, if the opportunity presented itself, then he would find it hard to turn down top flight football and the chance of playing with an established Premier League club.
Worrall is looking more and more like a top centre half as the weeks go by, and a move by Leicester to secure his signature would give them the ideal partner for Harry Maguire for years to come.
Foxes fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
