Leicester City managed to extend their winning streak to three games on Saturday as Brendan Rodgers’ side put in yet another impressive performance at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes must have a European place in mind having soared up the Premier League table recently, as they’re now joint on points with Wolverhampton Wanderers who sit in seventh position.
Whats the news?
Interestingly, it looks as if Leicester are looking to get things done on the transfer front as well, as according to The Sun, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Leicester are closing in on a deal for Youri Tielemans.
The Belgium international has established himself as a fan favourite at the King Power Stadium since joining in the January transfer window, having produced one goal and four assists in seven league games.
“The work is ongoing. Of course there is a hole in terms of the Head of Recruitment role.
“However work has been going on below that and conversations with Monaco are taking place. There are a lot of good people behind the scenes who are continuing the work.”
Youri Tielemans, who is valued at £19.8 million (by Transfermarkt), has already shown that he can handle the pressure of the Premier League in a short space of time. And, he’s really starting to thrive in the middle of the park for the Foxes with his range of passing working wonders at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester could make a big statement by securing the services of the midfield on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window as he has all the ingredients to become a future star. And, the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for him.
Leicester City fans, surely securing a summer deal for Tielemans would be massive?
