Leicester fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been rocked at the news of Arsenal Football Clubs interest in their main man Jamie Vardy, and Olivier Girouds interview with Sky Sports on the weekend has confirmed that the 29-year-old is interested in the prospect of playing for the Gunners.
And it seems the Midlands club have already been eyeing up a potential replacement as the Telegraph reports today that Leicester Football Club are lining up a £15million bid to lure the striker away from Vicarage road in the summer.
The 27-year-old is said to be happy at Watford but the prospect of playing Champions League football could become a factor in his decision to leave if a bid is thrown the Londoners’ way.
Deeney scored 13 goals for Watford in all competitions last season and was key in keeping the Hornets top flight status in tact, with the help of strike partner Odion Ighalo.
