Our resident Leicester City fans who were chanting away in celebration of their weekend’s victory over Manchester City will be singing through the night after positive reports concerning their striker search.
The Daily Mirror reported that Claudio Ranieri will continue his pursuit of Ahmed Musa in the summer.
The Foxes manager is said to be determined to sign the 23-year old Nigeria captain, despite seeing his attempts to sign him in January rebuffed on deadline day.
Leicester saw their bids of £15 million and £18.7 million rejected, with the Mirror claiming that CSKA refused to allow the striker to depart as ‘they believe his departure would weaken the team too significantly’.
Musa, who has netted 10 times in all competitions this season, extended his impressive spell with a goal that helped his side overcome Valarenga in a friendly last Wednesday.
The Nigerian only signed a new four-year deal last year and CSKA are looking to convince him that he should stay at the club beyond this summer. However, it is reported that Musa has a desire to move to the Premier League, with Stoke and Southampton also interested.
Leicester City fans, would you like to see Musa playing at the King Power Stadium next season? Let us know in the comments below!
