Leicester City fans have been in a strange position over the last few years. After winning the Premier League the fans have been in limbo over their club’s ambitions, however, Claude Puel has shown plenty of ambition by getting Marc Albrighton to sign up on a new long-term contract until 2022.

Albrighton has got to go down as one of the best bargains in Premier League history. The experienced winger signed from Aston Villa on a free transfer in summer 2014, and it since then he’s gone from strength to strength at the King Power Stadium, with the unlikely Premier League being the obvious highlight, however, that one-off season wasn’t Albrighton’s only good year.
The 29-year-old winger shone in the Champions League the following season as the Foxes made it to the quarter-finals of the competition, and it looks like he’s not done yet. This season has been an up and down one for the Foxes, with wins against Chelsea and Manchester City the highlights and the FA Cup 3rd round loss to Newport County the low point, and Albrighton and co will be desperate to finish strongly.
