Leicester City and Chelsea fans have dragged their tables together in the Transfer Tavern to discuss a potential late transfer deal involving both sides.
Those suggestions are bolstered by the latest comments from Sky Sports News blaring out from the TV screens in the bar, which indicate Leicester have given up in their chase of CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa with the two sides too far apart in their valuations.
As such, Claudio Ranieri has switched his attentions to Loic Remy but negotiating a deal could be problematic. Chelsea themselves want to sell the player outright, whilst Remy prefers a loan deal as he’s keen to prove himself to whoever takes over at Chelsea in the summer.
Leicester’s specific interest is not confirmed, but there were reports of a permanent offer made earlier in the window, but it’s likely Ranieri is open to either move as he seeks a strike partner for Jamie Vardy.
Foxes fans, is Remy the ideal striker for your club? Let us know in the comments below!
