Our resident Leicester City fans are getting more excited about their title ambitions following victory over Watford at the weekend and they have cause for further celebration today, after The Daily Express reported that their club will bid for Ahmed Musa this summer.
The word around the snooker tables is that the Foxes are readying an £18million bid for the striker, who currently plays for Russian outfit CSKA Moscow. The 23-year old was apparently targeted by Leicester during the January transfer window but failed to reach an agreement.
But recent rumours suggest that the club’s representatives went to Russia last week to discuss an offer for the Nigeria international, with Leicester almost certain to be able to promise the lure of Champions League football next season.
Other whispers around the bar have suggested that Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in the Nigerian. United in particular are said to be monitoring his situation, after he played against them in both of their Champions League group stage matches this term.
However, last week, Musa suggested that he would prefer a move to Arsenal, which left our Leicester City fans disappointed when they found out.
“I would be happy if I was wanted by Arsenal. I have supported the team since the age of six. It will be fantastic to play for Arsenal.”
