Leicester City have been sensational since Brendan Rodgers took charge at the King Power Stadium as they’re now well in with a chance of securing a European spot.
Of course, things may be going well at this moment in time but Rodgers surely must be looking to bring in a number of players in the summer in order to really make things his own in the Midlands.
What’s the News?
Brendan Rodgers is looking to reunite with a fringe Liverpool man, as according to The Sun, Brendan Rodgers is plotting a move for Daniel Sturridge this summer.
The Englishman, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), is out of contract in the summer and Rodgers would like to have him at the King Power Stadium.
Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho have been the Foxes’ go-to men at the pinnacle of the attack this season, but Sturridge would definitely add something different next season.
Daniel Sturridge may not have enjoyed many minutes on the field at Anfield in the current campaign, but there’s no doubt he can become a Premier League star once again if he moves to the King Power Stadium.
The Englishman can be prolific if he finds his feet and he would offer a different dynamic in the final third for the Foxes, as well as causing havoc with his pace alongside Jamie Vardy.
Of course, Rodgers won’t lose anything by bringing him to the Midlands in the summer as the forward’s current deal at Liverpool is set to expire in the summer anyway.
