The Leicester City supporters here in the Tavern have spent most of their time over by the bar in recent weeks to celebrate their successful season.
However, they have been drawn to one punter over by the darts board today who has told them that their club are interested in Tonny Vilhena, according to The Daily Mail.
The 21-year old, who is currently playing for Dutch side Feyenoord, has eight goals and claimed eight assists this season. However, the midfielder’s contract expires in the summer and the Foxes could be set to pounce after displaying an initial interest in January.
Leicester may face competition from Southampton, who were considered to be the favourites to land the youngster, but the Foxes are now expected to be able to complete a deal with the attraction of Champions League football for next season.
Vilhena is also believed to be attracting attention from several other English outfits, with Bournemouth, West Brom, Sunderland, Swansea and West Ham also believed to be keen.
The Dutch ace has made a total of 136 appearances for the Eredivisie club, but Feyenoord manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst admitted earlier this season that he is likely to leave.
“I have to respect his wishes not to sign a new contract,”
