The Leicester City supporters over by the fruit machines might have hit the jackpot after reports that star player Riyad Mahrez is set to be offered a new contract in the summer, according to The Daily Mail.
The Algerian ace is currently a contender for the Premier League player of the year in a season that has seen him score 14 league goals and claim 10 league assists.
The 24-year old only signed a new contract last summer, which is believed to be worth around £35,000 per week.
However, our resident Foxes fans will be raising a toast in celebration after they heard that he is expected to receive a significant increase to his earnings in an attempt to keep him at the King Power Stadium.
Another of Leicester’s stars, Jamie Vardy, was recently rewarded for his impressive form this season with a new contract, where his £40,000 per week wages rose to around £70,000 per week, plus add-ons should his side qualify for the Champions League.
It is believed that Leicester implemented a £40,000-per-week wage limit for all of their players following their promotion to the top flight back in 2014.
However, one punter over by the bar claims that many of the Foxes players will receive a significant pay rise this summer should they secure Champions League football.
