Leicester City are going strong in the Premier League at this moment in time, having gone unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches.
The Foxes will set their sights on securing a European place in the current campaign, so the January transfer window could prove crucial. Although, Claude Puel received a huge setback on the transfer front recently, as according to the Daily Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers are in advanced talks with Shoya Nakajima.
Leicester City have watched the 24-year-old over the past couple of months ahead of a potential move for the Japanese international in January.
But, it appears as if Wolves are closing in on securing the winger as they’re currently in advanced talks. Indeed, Portimonense president Rodiney Sampaio confirmed in a chat with Radio Renascenca that talks are well advanced, which comes as a huge blow for Leicester City.
Of course, the Foxes already have the likes of Demarai Gray, Marc Albrighton and Rachid Ghezzal in wide areas, but Nakajima has the ability to slot right into the starting lineup at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City should turn their attention elsewhere.
Shoya Nakajima, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has already shown his class on the international stage and over in Portugal this season, with five goals and four assists to his name this season.
But, with Wolves’ ambitions and financial backing, it will be very difficult for the Foxes to compete.
