According to The Express & Star, Leicester City’s Jeffrey Schlupp wants a move to West Brom in January with our resident Baggies fans here by the bar in the Transfer Tavern hoping they can get the player in once the window is open.
The pacy winger was targeted by the Midlands side in the summer window but the Foxes rejected each of their bids yet we could now see the deal go through.
Schlupp has started just the one Premier League game so far this season for the reigning champions with the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray all ahead of him in the pecking order to be one of the Foxes’ wingers this season.
He’s also only featured once in the Champions League for the club and is reportedly frustrated at the King Power Stadium under Claudio Ranieri.
Should he move across the Midlands, he’d be competing with the likes of Chris Brunt and Matt Phillips for the wider roles under Tony Pulis as the Baggies look to push into the top half of the table.
In turn, that could put pressure on the likes of James McClean and Callum McManaman, considering Nacer Chadli was brought in over the course of the summer at club record expense.
The men from The Hawthorns are currently in eleventh place ahead of their game next Monday against Burnley.
