Leicester City: Fans concerned with the possibility of Wes Morgan playing more often

Leicester City may have managed to overcome a difficult away trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon (per BBC), however their victory on the south coast may have come at a cost that has caused some anxiety amongst the fanbase on Twitter.

Jonny Evans was forced to leave the field in the second half with an injury and was subsequently replaced by the experienced Wes Morgan.

Whilst the Foxes managed to keep a clean sheet and keep ahold of all three points that were on offer at the AMEX Stadium, it would seem many were fretting at the possibility of having their skipper in the backline over the next few weeks, or potentially month.

Indeed, the 35-year-old was only on the field for the final third of the match, however he still appeared to put in a solid and important shift for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

According to the data collected by analysts WhoScored, Morgan managed to achieve one clearance and block one shot, whilst only having nine touches of the ball.

Nonetheless, fans were still left fretting after the final whistle at the possibility of having to have the experienced campaigner in their backline in their upcoming fixtures.

Here are just some of their reactions…
