Leicester City fans have praised the young midfielder Harvey Barnes after his side’s 2-0 win against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.

The 22-year-old scored the second goal of the evening as the Foxes advanced into the fourth round of the domestic competition.

An own goal from Latic debutant Tom Pearce opened the scoring after just 19 minutes after he steered the ball past team-mate David Marshall in between the sticks.

Barnes has been receiving plenty of criticism from segments of the King Power Stadium faithful this season but proved his critics wrong against the Lancashire based-outfit.
