Leicester City: Fans react to Goal of the Month nominations

Leicester City fans have responded on Twitter to the club’s Goal of the Month competition.

Many fans were delighted with the quality of goals on show as Leicester racked up two wins and two draws from their first four league games.

The shortlist for the club’s Goal of the Month has been narrowed down to six – two of which were from U23 games.

Goal A was Wilfred Ndidi’s equaliser versus Chelsea at Stamford Bridge where he nodded home from a corner – it was an important goal for both the player and the club as he rectified a mistake which put Chelsea ahead.

Goal B was Ali Reghba for the U23s versus Blackburn U23s.

Goal C – a strong contender – Jamie Vardy’s goal against Sheffield United: an emphatic finish after a superb assist from James Maddison with the outside of his boot.

Goal D is arguably the favourite to bring home the bacon. Harvey Barnes’ venomous strike versus Sheffield United. He catches it so sweetly on the volley to put Leicester ahead at Bramall Lane.

Goal E was a nicely worked goal by the U23s, finished off by Admiral Muskwe.

Goal F is another big contender for the award – one of Jamie Vardy’s goals versus Bournemouth. It was a bit of a rewind to their Premier League-winning season as Leicester struck on the counter. A well-executed long ball from Ben Chilwell put Vardy in behind where he hit the perfect chip on the bounce, leaving Bournemouth’s Aaron Ramsdale in no man’s land.

For Leicester fans, it seemed a choice between D and F. Here are some of the best responses below…
