Leicester City are already seemingly potentially preparing for life without Ben Chilwell at the King Power Stadium if recent January transfer rumours are to be believed.
Indeed, they’ve been linked with a move for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, according to the Mirror via the Leicester Mercury. Shaw, 24, has made 13 appearances for the Red Devils this season, but was replaced in the team for the clash with Norwich by academy graduate Brandon Williams and could perhaps fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford once again.
Chilwell has been heavily linked with the biggest clubs in the Premier League of late but Foxes supporters haven’t been too pleased with his displays for the club as of late. Interestingly, his performances in their loss to Southampton in the Premier League, as well as their draw in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Aston Villa were slammed by a number of fans on social media and the defender hasn’t been able to assist since October.
He’s part of a Leicester side in a poor run of form, dropping to third in the Premier League after tasting defeat against the Saints. Fans aren’t surprised that the club is looking at replacements, here’s how some of them reacted to the news:
Chilwell so bad we’re buying Shaw. https://t.co/XbaQRjCNcQ

A very naughty person at Man U is telling the media we want Luke Shaw… not sure what their game is. Unsettle Ben Chilwell maybe? Very bad!

I mean isn’t that what Chillwell is turning into?

I’d let him go

Bring in Telles, but rather than compete with Chilwell start him and move Chilwell onto Chelsea. Would probs make money off it too.
