Leicester City: Fans reminisce about Vicente Iborra on Twitter

Many Leicester City fans have reminisced about former player Vicente Iborra after the club tweeted a throwback video.
The club account tweeted “A throwback on Spanish National Day” with a video of Iborra scoring from a corner versus Stoke.
Many fans responded positively to the Spanish player, claiming that he wasn’t used properly under Claude Puel and had much more to give for Leicester City.
The 31-year-old joined the Foxes in the summer of 2017 for £13.5m (Transfermarkt), and ended up featuring 37 times for the club over two seasons. In his time at the club, he managed to score four goals as well as register two assists.
The Spaniard joined Villareal on loan last season before the deal was made permanent in the summer, with him being sold for £9m.
The replies from Leicester fans suggest that they feel like there was more to be got from the Spanish midfielder, with one fan even saying he wishes he was still around in the squad.

Yeah I liked him, I don’t know why he wasn’t played as much. I was also surprised how cheap he was sold for but I guess it was due to his age.

A player that was not utilised properly …besides changing Vardys role this was puels 2nd biggest mistake. Such a shame – I’d love him in our squad right now

Would have been a brilliant CDM alongside N'didi, his passing was class and he wasn't utilised properly.
