Leicester City: Fans salute Shinji Okazaki for memorable goal against Newcastle United

Loads of Leicester City fans have been saluting former player Shinji Okazaki for the fantastic bicycle kick he scored against Newcastle United four years ago yesterday.
The club’s official Twitter account shared a clip of the goal, giving supporters the chance to have another look at what was a brilliant strike. It was enough to give the Foxes all three points on the day as they continued their charge towards the 2015/16 Premier League title.
In the end, Leicester were, of course, successful in their pursuit of the Premier League crown, with Okazaki giving a lot to the cause. The Japanese forward made 36 appearances in total that season, scoring five goals on his side’s way to becoming English champions.

Okazaki has since moved on, joining Malaga and then fellow Spanish outfit Huesca, but he is still fondly remembered at the King Power and viewed as a “hero”.
