Leicester City: Many fans slate Rodgers post-match comments after poor run of form

Leicester’s 2-1 loss at the hands of Burnley will be a tough one for fans to take considering they took the lead and Jamie Vardy missed a penalty. After the game, manager Brendan Rodgers described the match as “one of those days”, but it was clear fans weren’t pleased by his comments.

They’ve now picked up just one point from three games, and those three games have been against Burnley, Southampton and Aston Villa. That’s not top-four form, but due to Chelsea and Manchester United both losing this weekend, they’re still 11 points inside the Champions League places.

The club’s official Twitter account posted a link to Rodgers’ post-match comments written for their website. They included one quote which said: “It’s just one of those days for us. It’s easy to analyse, but now we have to go away and look to get our three points, but also a performance, on Wednesday”. Many fans then replied to the tweet to slate the remarks, claiming the team have been having too many of those days recently.

You can see some of their reactions to the tweet below:

Leicester fans, what have you made of your team’s form since Christmas?
