Leicester City looking to bargain Euro 2016 star

The Leicester City fans who are gathered at the bar in The Football Transfer Tavern this evening are revelling in the news that the club could be engineering a bargain deal for this Euros star forward.

According to reports on Sky Sports the Premier League champions are interested in bringing Hal Robson-Kanu to the King Power Stadium this summer.

The 27-year-old has been in impressive form for Wales at EURO 2016 and has helped his country reach the semi-final stage where they will meet Portugal on Wednesday.

The forward finds himself out of contract after deciding against signing a new contract with Championship side Reading at the end of last season.

The Welsh international has done himself no harm this summer in France with some outstanding displays for his country this, and Leicester’s head of recruitment, Steve Walsh has been out to see him play twice this summer.

When questioned about whether his representative had been busy with regards to his future following the win against Belgium, Robson-Kanu told Sky Sports: “Yeah he has! It’s one of those things, it’s quite a unique position but as a player my focus is on the next game and we’re taking it seriously. That will look after itself.”

The Leicester fans in the bar are excited by the potential signing of Robson-Kanu and feel he will offer the club a totally different option up front for next season.
