Leicester City smash transfer record to pip Southampton to lethal forward

The Leicester City fans who are competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing confirmation that the club have agreed a fee for a new forward.

According to Sky Sports, the Premier League champions have agreed a fee for CSKA Moscow front man Ahmed Musa.

The fee is understood to be around £16.6m and the 23-year old is set to head to England to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical on Tuesday.

The coach of CSKA Moscow revealed on Sunday that the forward would be leaving the club for pasture new and it now looks that barring any hiccups in talks, that he will be heading for the King Power Stadium.

Southampton were also reportedly keen on adding him to their ranks on the South Coast.

The Nigerian international enjoyed his most prolific season since joining the Russian Premier League side last term when he netted 13 goals in 26 games which has encouraged Claudio Ranieri that he has enough to do a job for his side in both the Premier League and Champions League next season.

Will Leicester City finish in the Top Four next season?
