Our resident Leicester supporters are accepting of the latest rumour regarding Riyad Mahrez’s future after the recent saga had engulfed their thinking ahead, despite the close of the transfer window!
Indeed, according to ESPN, Leicester City are only willing to sell Riyad Mahrez to a club outside the Premier League. The Foxes are reportedly prepared to sell the winger at the end of the season, though seemingly do not want to play against him on home soil.
During the last transfer window, the 26-year-old was the subject of a bid from Manchester City, yet a move to the current league leaders failed to materialise, as the Foxes insisted on big money so late on in the window.
The report states that Mahrez is insistent on leaving the club at the end of the season. It is believed that AS Roma continues to have an interest in Riyad Mahrez, yet they’re unwilling to pay the fee that the former Premier League champions are demanding.
The Algerian winger clearly has no ambition of representing Leicester anymore, and the Foxes should seize upon the opportunity to amass a hefty fee for the player.
