Leicester eye Serie A pair in bid to revive title defence

According to Italian outlet tuttomercatoweb, Leicester City are scouting a pair of Serie A players with our Foxes here in the Transfer Tavern hoping they help improve their fortunes this season.

After beating Manchester City rather convincingly at the weekend 4-2 many here by the bar felt that the old Leicester from last season were back in business just in time for Christmas.

However, as last night proved, they still have much more to do before they can reach that level consistently again as they lost at Bournemouth 1-0.

Claudio Ranieri, our landlord thinks, needs to sign new players to help the squad cope with both Champions League and Premier League football in the new year and it appears that the Italian is having the same thought process.

The report suggests that Lorenzo Pellegrini of Sassuolo is one of the players being watched by the Foxes whilst the other is Josip Ilicic of Fiorentina and our landlord thinks both would be decent acquisitions, especially the latter who is a very talented footballer.

Could these two help you fight back for the second half of the season, Foxes fans? Or is more still needed? Let us know below!
