Leicester eyeing €10 million man in bid to save season

Our Leicester City fans, despite being the reigning Premier League champions, are having a torrid time right now but could be boosted by Gazzetta dello Sport’s report they’ve made an offer for Francesco Acerbi.

The Foxes have been in poor form this season with Champions League football evidently impacting on their early season results.

However, over the last month or so they have not had to contend with that extra engagement yet they still find themselves near the drop so things are far from plain sailing.

It’s almost certain, our landlord feels, that the club will do serious business in the January window and it certainly looks that way with this latest story.

The report suggests that the Foxes have made an offer of €10 million (£8.6 million) for the Sassuolo man and so now here in the Transfer Tavern our local Leicester punters will have to wait and see what happens next.

The centre back has made 18 appearances so far in Serie A for the Neroverdi and has chipped in with three goals and our landlord reckons he could be the ideal signing for a relatively cheap fee.

Would you take Acerbi, Foxes fans? Let us know below!
