Leicester City supporters have been making a lot of noise in recent times after seeing their side record a ninth Premier League victory of the season on New Year’s Day.

Claude Puel’s men went into their encounter with Everton at Goodison Park off the back of a shock 1-0 home defeat to Cardiff City a few days earlier, and thus seeking to bounce back when they made the trip to Merseyside on Tuesday. And they did just that as a Jamie Vardy strike just before the hour mark sealed a narrow 1-0 success for the Foxes, in turn moving them up to seventh place in the Premier League table.

Thus, there have been many thrilled Leicester fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom have taken to Twitter both during and indeed after the game to laud the efforts of defender Danny Simpson in their side’s victory on Tuesday.

The Englishman has been an excellent servant to the Midlands outfit ever since his move from Queens Park Rangers back in 2014, although just one previous Premier League start prior to Tuesday suggested that his time at the club may well be coming to an end.

Yet the 31-year-old reminded Leicester fans exactly what he could do with a commanding display at right back to keep Everton’s talisman Richarlison quiet throughout the 90 minutes, an effort that unsurprisingly received much praise from plenty of Foxes supporters on Twitter…
