The Leicester fans within the Transfer Tavern are hopeful in seeing a resurgence in form from their side when next season begins given how disappointing the Foxes have been of late.
Like many teams around them, Leicester have endured an up and down season but considering how badly they’ve performed recently, finishing 9th is still a strong season in many eyes. Manager Claude Puel is facing a very uncertain time as to whether he will remain boss at the King Power Stadium but one thing is for sure, whoever’s in charge needs to spend money on players capable of improving Leicester in a bid to challenge further up the table.
Our punters have identified Liverpool flop Luis Alberto as a player who could really bring a lot of quality to the Foxes. Having failed at Liverpool, he left Anfield in 2016 to pursue a career with Lazio where he has been ever since. The Spaniard, quite frankly has been outstanding for the Serie A side because this season alone so far he has notched up 12 goals as well as 20 assists for his team-mates.
With his valuation at £19.80 million on Transfermarkt, Alberto wouldn’t break the bank and yet he still could be a star in a Leicester shirt. However, the Foxes will have to act quick seeing as a lot of interest is surrounding the 25-year-old due to his fabulous season. Jamie Vardy has continued his fine goal-scoring form but a competent partner in the form of Luis Alberto playing alongside him would only increase their chances of being more threatening for teams to play against.
