Leicester fans within the Transfer Tavern are feeling good about their future under Claude Puel as the former Saints manager has taken the Foxes from the bottom half to the top half of the Premier League in the short space of just a few months.
The King Power faithful are starting to see the makings of a potentially successful team with Leicester still in reach of European football this season. If they want to relive the glory days of just a few seasons ago, big summer signings are much needed if they want to kick on and prove that successful season wasn’t just a one-off.
A player that could bring so much to Leicester City is Fabian Delph. The Englishman is valued at £9.00 million on Transfermarkt and has been tremendous at times for Man City this season, filling in wherever needed to do a job for Pep’s side. Despite not being a so-called ‘big name’, Delph has still managed 23 appearances this season, with 20 of those coming from the left-back position. Following the long-term injury of City left-back Benjamin Mendy, Delph was tasked with filling the Frenchman’s void and what a job he has done in his absence.
The versatile 28-year-old still has a good number of years ahead of him in the top flight and Leicester should be the team to prosper from that time. Of course, Fabian Delph still has the capabilities to play in his usual central-midfield role but now the attraction to him is much greater as he can be used as a defender as well.
If Leicester are serious about progressing, Fabian Delph would make a brilliant signing to see the Foxes on their way to bigger and better things.
